My project of 7 years needed a cherry on top: the final image that would embody the essence of my preaching - embracing the absurdity of life. I thought long and hard on what this picture could be, aware of the logistical challenges it entailed. At first, I doubted its possibility. However, I knew in my heart that if anyone could make it happen, it had to be Simon. If he couldn't, no one could.I thoroughly enjoyed the creative process of bringing this image to life, hurling myself over the bike while onlookers shook their heads in amusement. Simon remained unfazed throughout, enthusiastically shouting, "I need more feet! More feet!". It was a cloudy day too, so we had 5-10 minute patches of sun we had to get the shot in. “Now’s your chance, jump!” Simon would shriek.This image is very important to me. It encapsulates my beliefs, capturing the very essence of embracing life's quirks and eccentricities. Simon's ability to grasp my idea precisely as I had imagined it, transforming it into reality, is nothing short of magic.I am immensely grateful for the unforgettable experience and exceptional outcome Simon delivered. If you’re looking for a photographer to turn your dream of a shot into reality, Simon is the one.

I'm picky, I'm not photogenic, my curly hair and frizz is a nightmare to work with - but none of it mattered working with Simon. I didn't have to worry or stress about any of it, all I had to do was focus on being myself on set knowing Simon would take care of the rest. I have never printed or framed a picture of myself, but I think its about time I did!

Simon James is your go to artist if you're looking for a one-of-a-kind photographer. I had a photoshoot session with Simon. Simon photographed my wedding in February, and did a sensational job. Apart from leveraging his experience shooting 1000+ weddings, with a great planning session beforehand, and fast turnaround afterwards, there was one very memorable moment.He arrived at the venue, and realised that by the time the ceremony started, being an outdoor venue, the sun and shadows would be wrong. We quickly moved everything about 5 metres, before the guests arrived, so the lighting was perfect.It is this intuition and experience that is priceless, and why I highly recommend Simon James photography, for when you want someone who will take the perfect shot, no matter what.

Simon was so amazing during this pandemic. We had to postpone our wedding and on our first wedding date Simon has so much passion for making people happy that he still took some family shots for us. On our wedding day when we finally got to have our dream day, Simon just made the day flow and be so effortless. The photo turn around was super quick and such amazing beautiful natural shots. Simon recently completed a corporate photographic shoot for one of my clients. With executives in Australia from global offices around the world, we took the opportunity to update our library of corporate head, team and operational shots. Simon was utmost professional in his approach and dealing with all levels of staff and management including the global executive team. I discovered Simon on Easy Weddings and after browsing his work just knew it was the style of images we were seeking. From the moment I spoke with Simon over the phone I knew there was no one else I wanted to capture our day. He was witty, professional and he just seemed to understand what I was seeking instantly.My now husband & I believe ourselves to be a couple of the most unphotogenic people getting around and hate having our photos taken and yet Simon was able to achieve the impossible. We wanted classic yet casual shots and he nailed it painlessly.We absolutely love them, the images capture the mood and story of the evening perfectly.
